Disforia de género en menores: una mirada crítica a la medicalización precoz y propuestas para un acompañamiento ético

Este artículo analiza de forma crítica el proceso de medicalización temprana de la disforia de género en menores desde una perspectiva clínica y bioética. A partir del análisis del protocolo holandés, se examinan las tensiones entre el modelo afirmativo propuesto por la WPATH y las recomendaciones del Cass Review británico. El recorrido por los fundamentos científicos y éticos que sustentan ambos enfoques evidencia la complejidad inherente a la atención de menores en procesos de búsqueda identitaria.
Asimismo, se plantea una reflexión crítica desde una perspectiva bioética, en la que la vulnerabilidad del menor se configura como principio estructurante de la deliberación. Se defiende la necesidad de un acompañamiento clínico no invasivo, sostenido en el tiempo. Finalmente, se propone un modelo de atención integral que priorice la evaluación psicosocial, el apoyo psicológico, la participación familiar y la prudencia terapéutica.
