The theological principle of synodality resonates strongly in the contemporary church and has received an impulse in Pope Francis’s pontificate. The synodality has a structural relevance not only in terms of the episcopal organism, but also on the participation of the faithful in the colleges of the ecclesiastical organization. In this article the author studies some consequences of the synodality in Canon law, from the discussions of a recent seminar organized by the General Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops in Rome.
