The basis of this paper is that ambiguity is a variable that can hinder both students and professional interpreters during simultaneous interpreting and sight translation from Spanish into Italian. Nevertheless, this problem will be solvedin different ways by different subjects. The empirical study performed is briefly summarised, after giving a short theoretical review of the main references on both ambiguity and interpreting.Downloads
