This article tries to glimpse the new challenges that are demanded in directive function nowadays. Due to this changing world a new culture of management is increasingly needed. It should stop focusing on a technical process of administrative and bureaucratic management, in order to change this idea to a principal as a cultural agent in the center, as a driver of teachers’ researches in the classroom, as the engine of teaching professional development, as a promoting agent of curricular innovation and especially, as a facilitator of relationships between family and school that enable to achieve the educational goals of school organization. That means a director, exercising leadership settled on the basis of a transformational, distributed, shared and resonant model, where principal’s leadership is related to student’s learning. This is a complex but not impossible challenge for the smooth running, success and quality of educational organizations.Downloads
