During the pandemic, forced lockdown altered daily life, inducing fear, educational challenges, and mental health concerns. The transition to remote education exacerbated inequalities, highlighting technology access issues and impacting social interaction. An investment of over 10 billion euros transformed the education system, propelling digitization. Families played a crucial role in at-home education. Despite hardships, the pandemic catalyzed educational innovations, emphasizing the importance of emergency preparedness and attention to mental health. The experience underscores the need for resilient and sustainable educational systems, integrating technology effectively and equitably while prioritizing student well-being.
