The question arises as to whether theology can do anything to help during the coronavirus pandemic. Surely the Christian faith —along with other religions— can do much to help address this crisis on several levels. Theology connects with the effort of faith and of the Church to provide models and ideas that can illuminate the Christian sense of what is happening, that is, in reference to a saving God. Four keys are proposed, rooted in the Christian tradition, which allow us to read these difficult times in a meaningful way, that is, as ‘signs of the times’ that are revealing for believers.
