Abstract

Western Modernity seems to have expelled the God of Jesus from the human horizon. Nevertheless, in certain occasions even the western non-believer receives visits from “beyond consciousness” (Bru Rovira). Sometimes this visit happens without permission, in spite of the subject’s will. We have identified such visits without permission in three biographies of contemporaneous Europeans.
