Traces of the sacred in philosophy according to the Habermasian genealogy of reason
Keywords:
religion, sacred, reason, genealogy, hermeneutics, faithAbstract
The purpose of this contribution is to show Habermas’s latest thinking on the value of religion in the process of formation of Western philosophy, especially the theory of communicative rationality. Taking the discourse on faith and knowledge as a guiding thread, Habermas carries out a genealogy or history of thought that examines how the sacred can be found even in the background of some forms of contemporary post-metaphysical philosophy.
