Towards a Reflexive Retrospective Analysis of Intercultural Research with Migrant Roma Children

This article focuses on a reanalysis of fieldwork experiences with Roma children after qualitative and ethnographic data collection and interpretation were undertaken. This approach differs from reflexivity during research and represents a reflexive retrospective analysis two years later which provides the researchers with the opportunity to explore his or her position as participant in the study. The findings are enriched through additional data depicting the researcher’s influence on the research process, and it provides useful advice for future research.
