The study of grief has undergone significant development in recent decades, incorporating psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions. This article offers an interdisciplinary analysis that integrates contemporary models of grief with Christian theology understood in a broad sense. Drawing on a critical review of recent literature, it examines major psychological approaches, including the dual process model, meaning reconstruction, and prolonged grief, and places them in dialogue with Christian eschatological hope. The aim is to provide a broader understanding of grief as a psychological, relational, and spiritual experience, highlighting the role of hope in processes of adaptation.
