¿Obstáculo técnico o lugar de promesa? La muerte y el futuro humano entre transhumanismo y escatología cristiana

Este artículo examina la tensión entre una concepción de la muerte como obstáculo técnico a eliminar y otra que la entiende como dimensión inherente de la existencia humana, a partir del diálogo entre transhumanismo y pensamiento filosófico-teológico. En primer lugar, se analiza el imaginario transhumanista que concibe la muerte como problema técnico, susceptible de ser superado mediante biotecnología, longevidad radical y mind uploading. A continuación, se estudian los presupuestos antropológicos de esta propuesta (identidad personal, reducción informacional del yo, relación con el cuerpo, experiencia del tiempo, vulnerabilidad y desigualidad socioeconómica). Finalmente, se contrasta este horizonte con una lectura cristiana de la muerte como lugar de límite y promesa, articulando la tensión entre “futuro relativo” (proyecto técnico) y “futuro absoluto” (don de Dios) desde la escatología cristiana. El artículo muestra que la forma de imaginar la muerte configura decisivamente la comprensión contemporánea de la vida y de la existencia humana.
