Navegar el privilegio precario: experiencias de estudiantes-migrantes brasileños en Lisboa

Resumen

Este estudio explora las experiencias de estudiantes-migrantes brasileños en Lisboa, examinando la interacción entre privilegio y precariedad en sus trayectorias. Aunque la movilidad estudiantil internacional suele entenderse como una progresión académica y profesional, esta investigación muestra cómo estos migrantes transitan aspiraciones de estilo de vida más amplias, dificultades laborales e inseguridad residencial, empleando la lente analítica del privilegio precario. Mediante un enfoque etnográfico con observación participante, entrevistas y grupos focales, el estudio revela cómo negocian su doble condición de estudiantes y trabajadores en un contexto marcado por el aumento del coste de vida, prácticas abusivas en el acceso a la vivienda e inestabilidad laboral. Pese a su privilegio percibido como migrantes altamente cualificados, muchos afrontan vulnerabilidades: dificultades económicas, discriminación y empleo precario. Al situar estas experiencias en las transformaciones socioeconómicas de Lisboa, la investigación subraya sus implicaciones para la desigualdad urbana y las políticas migratorias.
