Abstract

The aim of this article is to assess art exhibitions as a relevant mode of international relations among people of different countries. Focusing on an analysis of the Japanese participation in the last five editions of La Biennale di Venezia will help us, through their different approaches, discover a discourse that has a lot to do with the exercise of soft power. Thus the interest of delving into the theoretical approach of each exhibition. This analysis demonstrates a proactive attitude by Japan to promote globally, through its own experience, a co-responsibility in reconsidering our arrogant attitude in the world in front of nature. Art has a lot to say in the world of diplomacy.
