Los dilemas estratégicos de Japón

Resumen

La transformación del orden asiático es la principal causa del giro producido en la política exterior de Japón desde finales de la primera década del siglo XXI. Bajo el liderazgo de Shinzo Abe, el Gobierno japonés ha dado forma a una diplomacia proactiva, orientada a la adquisición de una autonomía estratégica que le permita ampliar sus opciones frente a la reconfiguración en curso del equilibrio regional de poder. El rápido ascenso de China y la erosión del liderazgo de su principal aliado, Estados Unidos, sitúan al país ante un horizonte desconocido que le obliga a recalibrar sus relaciones con ambas grandes potencias.
