On more than one occasion the students of the University of Seniors of the Universidad Pontificia Comillas had the privilege of being able to listen to a master class by Prof. Manuel Revuelta González SJ. The following is the text of one of those lessons. In the opinion of Prof. Revuelta, the University for the Elderly has the glory of being the only bearer of the «living torch of the Humanities». If it is true that each person is a «suppositum rationale», an individual, singular and unrepeatable being, it is also true that this being is open to progressive perfection. In this sense, the experience of the University for the Elderly gives the person of its students a new sign of identity: that of Christian Humanism.
