This work aims to reflect on men who pay for sexual services at a time when there are calls for their criminalization from feminist sectors. The reflection is based on previous studies, both national and international. It highlights the characteristics, motivations, profiles and demands of these men. The risks that the buying and selling relationship can generate especially for women are pointed out. The models of intervention carried out with these men are reviewed and socio-educational and health interventions are proposed as they are more effective in both risk reduction and demand reduction.
