Revision of marechalian hermeneutics of the agent intellect

This paper reviews Joseph Maréchal’s theory of the agent intellect. Maréchal argues that the agent and possible intellect are two aspects of the same potency, called reason or intelligence, which in turn can be directly activated by imagination.
