Implicaciones para el profesor de una enseñanza centrada en el alumno

A learning-centered teaching implies, in the first place, a reflection on the attitudes and beliefs of the teacher on his or her own function as a teacher in order to avoid mistaking means (teaching) with ends (learning). In addition some competencies become more important, such as 1) the design of learning tasks, 2) an assessment whose goal is to condition a more intelligent study and to correct errors on time and 3) competencies which foster a good teacher-student relationship, and that because a) the emotional quality of learning and b) teaching goes beyond any subject matter and there can be negative non-intended learnings as well as a positive additional learning in the field of values.
