Abstract

The objective of the paper is to describe the therpeutic change in E. Gendlin’s Experiential Psychotherapy. Therefore we firstly explain the conceptual frame and the evolution of the mentioned therapeutic line. The aim of the second part consists in analyzing the roots of the therapeutic change taking into consideration Gendlin’s alignment and putting the subject under investigation in the context of the current and innovating contributions of bodily psychotherapy. Afterwards we’ll illustrate Gendlin’s concept of body. Finally we analyze the characteristics of that therapeutic change focusing on its content, the ways of assisting (supporting) and observing it, its expressions and measurement.
