La modernidad como edad de universalización: revisión de programa Weberiano de modernización

Abstract

The discussion about the origin and the essence of the Modernity was the biggest issue on Sociology was founded. The way that we use to understand the Modernity and the interpretation of their history determinates the parameters of our epoch. We defend that the key of the Modernity is not the rationalization but the universalization and the rationalization is a way of universalization. Specially, we seek the medieval reasons of the arising of the Modernity, we identify the historical divisions and we study the Renaissance like the beginning of an awareness of universality which is going to arrive at the first historical project of the Modernity: the Baroque.
