Abstract

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Foundations, practice in the clinical context and development areas. In this paper we put forward in summary form the kind of intervention proposed by the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Since its epistemological foundations and the empirical research to which it has submitted, we specify its clinical practice and its most common areas of intervention. We also offer different considerations about its scope or usefulness and the difficulties that commonly arise during its practice.
