The aim of this study is to develop a measure of attitudes toward homosexual people (homophobic scale, EH), and to analyses a sample of university students in Madrid (N=299), comparing them with a sample of older adult people (N=121). Results show that most students have not very high levels of homophobia, and homophobia is significantly higher between: males, older people, those who haven’t known homosexual people, the “believers”, dogmatic people, sexist people, and right-wing people. The homophobic scale EH offers good reliability and also good discriminating capacity.
