Technological Determinism in the Community of Engineers: A Sociological Exploratory Approach

This article tries to initiate an exploratory approach to the study of the deterministic conception of the community of engineers. In order to get this objective we have taken a survey with a sample of 136 engineers from different Spanish universities and institutions of investigation. With this survey are analyzed some of the possible deterministic traces shared commonly by the community of engineers. Finally, it is proposed a way of interpretation of this deterministic conception from sociology of knowledge and the hermeneutics of Apel’sphilosophy.Downloads
