Rights and situation of childhood in the framework of the Declaration of Human Rights

This paper reviews the development of children’s rights since the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We will focus on the Declaration of the Rights of the Child (1959) and the Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989) because they are the two documents that have greater importance in welfare of childrenat the international level. And to finish this first part a brief tour of the rights of children in the Spanish legislation. Then analyzed the situation in which the child is focusing on four dimensions: poverty, education, labor and abuse.Downloads
