Unamuno and the Protestantism
Keywords:
religion, consciousness, grace, new personAbstract
The importance of religious topic in Unamuno’ thought made him become acquainted with Protestant Theology. In it, Unamuno found the closeness of the Word and the depth of religious experience that he was in need for. For what Unamuno was seeking was not simply a religion based on dogmas, but rather the renewal of his religious awareness, the tangible feeling of being a new person before God’s grace. And he found it in the reading of such texts.
