: Methodologies and processes to improve science teaching and learning through English in school in an at-risk context

Abstract

This article explains the specific methodological and procedural changes meant to improve the teaching and learning of Science through English implemented in an infant and primary level state-run bilingual school which is classified as a school for at-risk children. It emphasizes the challenges that schools in vulnerable social and educational contexts must face when teaching a subject through a foreign language.
