This paper analyses the unsatisfactory EU legal framework to fight effectivelyagainst illegal immigration. The unfinished “communitarization” of Titre IV of TEC on immigration policy produce serious problems to control the illegal immigration flows. A possible solution should be the proliferation of EU readmission agreements with third countries and reinforce the links between immigration policy and developmentpolicy at EU level.Downloads
