La inversión en capital relacional como base para la competitividad empresarial: un estudio de indicadores

Resumen

El objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar la importancia estratégica del capital relacional así como analizar los indicadores de capital relacional que están utilizando las empresas pioneras a nivel internacional en medición de recursos intangibles. Con este fin, se ha dividido el trabajo en dos secciones. En primer lugar, se propone un marco conceptual para el análisis del capital relacional. Para ello se presenta una matriz con dos dimensiones: carácter idiosincrásico y valor estratégico. En base a ella, se describen cuatro tipos de capital relacional: idiosincrásico, esencial, genérico y residual. En segundo lugar, se analizan los principales indicadores de capital relacional que están utilizando las empresas pioneras de Asia y Europa en medición de capital intelectual. A través de un estudio de casos y un análisis de informes de capital intelectual, se elabora un cuadro con cuatro categorías principales de indicadores: a) perfil de clientes, b) imagen, c) difusión y networking, y por último, d) colaboración y conectividad. Finalmente, se presentan las principales conclusiones e implicaciones para la gestión empresarial que se extraen de este trabajo.
