This introductory article invites readers to reflect on migrant childhood as a space of tension between fragility and resilience, focusing on agency as the central theme of the monographic section, Childhood on the Move: Redefining Children's Agency Between Resilience and Vulnerability. It argues that migrant children are not merely passive recipients of migration processes, but active agents engaged in familial, social, and cultural dynamics across borders. It concludes that, to create more inclusive public policies adapted to the realities of migrant childhood, it is essential to recognize its complexity and multidimensionality.
