Descolectivización y migraciones en Rumanía durante la década de los noventa

Este artículo describe las condiciones generales—primero en el espacio post-soviético en general y luego en Rumanía—que llevaron a un número creciente de Rumanos a emigrar de zonas rurales hacia otros países europeos en búsqueda de trabajo temporal o permanente, después de la caída del socialismo en 1989/1991. Explica el proceso de restitución de la propiedad que reinstauró la propiedad privada de tierras, así como las políticas gubernamentales que dificultaron el que los nuevos propietarios pudieran vivir de sus granjas. Por un aumento de las diferencias entre los costes de producción y los precios de los productos agrícolas, para el año 2000 muchos de los habitantes de los pueblos en Rumanía ya no podían costearse trabajar sus tierras.Como resultado, entraron en amplios circuitos de migración, principalmente hacia Italia y España. El proceso más amplio en el que estos habitantes de los pueblos estaban participando era un cambio en la reserva internacional de trabajadores migrantes, aumentada nuevamente por las víctimas de la transformación del socialismo de Europa del Este.Descargas
