The costs of local government in response to the immigrant population

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to explore the kind of activities that Madrid Council Social Services provide to immigrants. To reach this goal, the article focuses on three points: It first describes the background of the foreign users of Social Services. Second, a quantitative approach to public immigration expense is performed. Finally, social benefits provided by Social Services of Madrid Council are concisely defined.
