We analyze the consequences of the Crisis in Social Psychology. It’s argued that this Crisis represented an attack against positivistic perspectives in Psychology; then it’s showed its important role in the appearance of alternative views. We expound K. Gergen’s ideas on shift of paradigm and its theoretical foundations. From this framewok, we analyze the Crisis in Social Psychology, following three phases: dominant intelligibility, crisis and tranformation. We expound the characteristics the dominant paradigm in classical Social Psychology; next, we show how the Crisis began and ran out; and finally we expound the innovations introduced by new psychosocial perspectives that rise in the post-crisis.
