«Sed perfectos como vuestro padre celestial es perfecto» (Mt 5,48). Fundamentalismo y perfección
Keywords:
Fundamentalism, Perfection, Mystic, Holiness, Society.Abstract
The aim of this paper is to analyze fundamentalism from the concept of perfection. In order to do that, the paper presents three correlated arguments. The first one tries to understand how fundamentalism is able to semi-materialize a transcendent «idea-essence.» The second explores how fundamentalism tries to insert a semi-materialized «idea/essence» into society, sometimes with the use of violence, without understanding the human and material consequences of the process. The third compares two ways of becoming part of a social collectivization, one which is «active» and connected to fundamentalism, and the other «passive» and associated with the normal process of becoming part of society.
