Abstract

The didactical task of “Puppet Pals” Project is to create a short animation movie in a multidisciplinary approach with new technological support.

In this project we could develop the entire curriculum of Social Studies; technology; art; music and a part of language.

The students see themselves; throughout the entire school year; in an experience where they have to create characters; research topics; compose soundtracks; write scrips and produce a short film.

They have followed a cooperative way of learning; furthermore in a virtual word.

This project arose from their impatience to work in an atmosphere where students could study the curriculum in a different way; where they themselves were able to be the protagonist an a creative process.

We preferred to use the same work method as they use in cinema.

We have continually reflected on the meaning of education and how we can create a new concept of learning through new technology as a tool and space that helps us achieve more ambitious pedagogical objectives.
