The film starts at moment in which the band Queen begins its live performance in the memorable rock concert Live Aid to fight the hunger in Ethiopia, celebrated the 13 of July of 1985, in the Wembley stadium of London; concert considered as the best to date and the performance of Queen, with a glorious Mercury before a splendid stage, qualified as the most brilliant performance in the history of rock. A flashback takes us back to the origins of the group and guides us through the life path of its leader, Freddy Mercury.
As the key characters say —Queen is a group of misfits that play for misfits. But it is also the family that supports unconditionally, without judgment, and that encourages the liberating creativity of its members. Through the music of Queen we will relive the lights and shadows of the 1970s and 1980s, and we will understand the social circumstances that forged the "best British group of all time" (title granted after a poll conducted by the BBC Radio station 2 in 2007).
