This article talks about a didactic proposal in maths to work with a student with special educational needs without comprehensive reading in first grade in high school. It explains the symbols > “bigger than” and < “smaller than”. First, the teacher uses the symbols > and <, after she verbalises them “bigger than” and “smaller than” and later she uses pictures. She shows that this student works better with examples taken from his closest reality, this way he constructs new concepts over previous concepts.Downloads
