Abstract

Ignatian tradition involves a Catholic vision of pedagogy which belongs to Renaissance Humanism. At the basis of its educational thinking lies Ignatius’ own formative journey as a student who followed the method of the University of Paris, as well as the educational practice of the first educational institutions of the Society of Jesus. Many of the vasque saint’s educational principles are set out in Part IV of the Constitutions of the Society.
