Rómulo, a private detective, is commissioned by a client interested in finding out if her mother, who lives in a nursing home, is well cared for and receives satisfactory medical attention, or if she is the victim of abuse, beatings or robbery.
To carry out the mission, he selects, hires and trains Sergio as an investigator, an 83-year-old recently widowed man who must infiltrate the center for 90 days as a "mole agent".
Meanwhile, Sergio makes an effort to fulfill his role, for this he trains in the use of mobile phones and hidden cameras in glasses and pens. In addition, he perfects his behavior to avoid suspicion and not blow his cover.
As Sergio exercises his role as a spy, he inevitably becomes an ally of the endearing group of residents to the point of becoming involved in the lives of all those people, that is, forty women and four men, leaving in all of them a indelible mark.
