Educational Evaluation in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

This article addresses the possible effects of new generative artificial intelligence systems in schools, but especially in educational assessment. As this is a continually evolving research topic, instead of analyzing specific systems, the fundamentals of artificial intelligence are presented in a simple way. A better understanding of these ideas allows us to describe the foreseeable change in the educational scenario with its possibilities and risks. Finally, some conclusions and recommendations for students, teachers and schools are provided.
