Abstract

Because children are at a state of maximum plasticity in their early years, this is the ideal time to educate them in various aspects, such as the transmission of values.

John Wilson conducted a study in which approximately 750 children were interviewed and asked questions about what they thought was right and wrong. The answers obtained could be classified into: amoral and uncontrolled, authoritarian, emphatic or altruistic answers, etc. All this shows that from birth the world around children is expanding and diversifying and helps to shape their personality. As a result, school and family must work together for a correct transmission of values.
