Abstract

This article is to argue that, in a global context where international migration is due to become more and more intense, society’s incapacity to overcome its cautiousness against migration can result in a true train crash. This has already happened in other European countries and, unless we are intelligent, will also happen in Spain. The education of citizens – both the formal and the informal ones- is a critical tool to avoid this unnecessary threat to social peace and progress.
