This article review the contributions that emotional intelligence to the field of the teaching. It underlines the idea of that to have students emotionally intelligent is necessary you train educators with specific strategies and intervention program in emotional intelligence. We outlined the principal areas in which teachers with emotional intelligence might imply psychoeducational benefits in classroom, which they will result, in last term, in students with higher academic results and better social functioning and emotional well-being.
