Abstract

Due to the civil war in Syria, in 2011, more than four million Syrians have left the country running away from violence. More than half of them are children. Since World War II, this has meant the largest exodus of refugees in the 21st century.

The documentary reflects the drama of refugees, especially from the point of view of defenseless children. Through seven stories of war, painful and desperate, lived in silence but with eagerness for innocence, courage, hope and overcoming, we will understand the sense of being born in Syria.

Between September of 2015 and July of 2016, the trip of these children is narrated from the moment they left their country, destroyed by the war. They have crossed the sea in small boats until reaching Turkey and then to Serbia, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Germany and Belgium. It is a long and raw experience in refugee camps, in search of a new future.

Born in Syria, he offers us the opportunity to think about this human conflict.

In addition to dealing with film knowledge, this movie tackles topics related human rights and values such peaceful co-existence.
