Music is considered to be one of the disciplines that can develop multiple intelligences in a balanced way. This can be achieved through an active approach to teaching and learning. Despite this, far too little is found in compulsory education, due to the school timetables established by the Spanish Education Law.
Music school classrooms and Conservatories seem be faring slightly better as they evolve towards more active pedagogies, but this evolution remains slow and uneven.
