Disquisitions on equivocal self-motion and contact in the transmission of the dynamic action following the trail of Robert Grosseteste’s commentary on the book VII of Aristotle’s Physica. The study tests a pattern of distributive integral animism, not a partitive one, postulating the essential discontinuity of the second kind in the chain of motors. These are traces of the embryonic insular science, which pays full attention to the efficient causality that innervates the phenomenic mould with a firm commitment on the exemplary nature of the measure and the search for reality over objective measurable qualities, at the expense of the eidetic keys that ballast the emerging continental metaphysics of quod est, clung to essence as intentional ratification of the existible or either to the esse essentiae as an expression of esse extra animam ab alio (rate of diminished creaturality) in the exemplary causal path.
