In this paper I try to demonstrate the relevance of the intersection between Ethics and veridictional processes in the latest works of Foucault, and how does this reading is necessary in order to comprehend what the author means by a «History of Truth». The status and the role of Ethics in Foucault’s work, as well as the notion of parrhesía, allows an interpretation of this history of the truth which goes beyond the usual notion of power in Foucault: a power that, apparently, did not leave any place for rethinking the autonomy of subjects in a positive way.
