Abstract

The Big War volatilized the promises of a world in constant progress, the heralds of a come back to the Medieval values will surge against those who defend and reformulate a humanist socialism rooted in the Enlightenment, far from the totalitarian ideologies of its time. With their lives, Ramiro de Maeztu and Fernando de los Ríos represent and symbolize these two paradigms.
