In this article we consider the scope existential consideration of Schopenhauer that "essentially all life is suffering." This statement shows the profound ambiguity that determines our daily experience of pain, because it is an experience that being intimate is both a key to unlock the mystery of the world. This ambiguity is really inevitably and accompanies every effort to communicate our painful experience of life. This statement deeply ambiguous before sinking into a pessimistic view of our existence is also the key that allows us to take the mystery of ethics, compassion.
