Regarding the debate Habermas/Flores D’Arcais on the role of Religion in the public domain
Keywords:
philosophy, religion, democracy, public sphere, constitutional patriotismAbstract
The philosopher P. Flores D’Arcais has written, as if it were Marx against Feuerbach, eleven theses against Habermas. However, Habermas has shown himself bewildered by such criticism. In this work we analyze both philosophical positions. We have tried to do justice to the thought of Habermas in the area of religion and the public sphere at the same time we point out the inconsistencies in the interpretation and the proposals by P. Flores in the context of constitutional patriotism.
