Here we intend to suggest a point of contact between science and religion - from the perspective of the evolutionary theory of knowledge in relation to the religious category of Mystery. The evolutionary theory of knowledge is an epistemological approach which integrates the fields of the evolutionary theory, neuroscience and philosophy. With it, it is possible to place the reflection on the nature of human knowledge under the light of the historical evolutionary conscience. This could generate a bridge between science and faith because it allows us to see how the human opening to the mystery dimension is possible once we have acquired an evolutionary and contingent awareness of our own existence.
